Obituary of John Pothlanski

John Pothlanski, 82, passed away July 25, 2013. A funny man who always had a joke to tell. Always giving back to his community and an Ex-Chief of the Great Neck Alert Fire Department. He loved helping people and never expected anything in return. He is survived by his beloved wife the late Dorothy (dolly) Pothlanski; Loved sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and George Motchkavitz and late sister Adele Hess; Dear father of Ann Gomez and John Pothlanski; Cherished Grandfather of Allison, Jayson, Joseph and Great Grandfather of Holly. Along with nieces and nephews and many friends. Viewing hours Tuesday at Great Neck Alert Fire Department 555 Middle Neck Road, Great Neck, 3-5 and 7-9. Funeral Mass Wednesday 9:45 a.m., St Aloysius RC Church, Great Neck. Interment All Saints Cemetery, Great Neck NY. Donations in his memory may be made to Great Neck Alert Fire Department.
