Obituary of Richard Thomas McSherry

McSherry, Richard Thomas, of Plandome, New York and Gulf Stream, Florida passed on September 26, 2013. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, September 7, 1936. Beloved husband of Laura (DiLorenzo) and the late Ursula (Healy). He is survived by his wife Laura, daughter, Jeanne-Marie Kempster, son-in-law, James Kempster and stepson, Anthony Bozza. Dick was Co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Elkins/McSherry Co., Inc, a Brokerage and Analytics firm. He had many long-standing charitable interests, among them the Brooklyn Prep Alumni Association (of which he was President) and the Hospice Care Network on which he served as board member. Services will be held at Fairchild Funeral Home, Manhasset, New York, September 29 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. Funeral Mass at St.Maryʼs Church, Manhasset, New York , September 30 at 10:00 a.m.Please make donations in his memory to Hospice Care Network or Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital.
