Obituary of Clifford William Mays

Long time Manhasset resident,passed away at his home in Highland Beach, Florida on January 28, 2014. He is survived by his loving children William, Gordon, wife Jillian, Mary-Allison, Clifford Jr., wife Irene, along with his grandchildren, Allison, husband Peter, Caitlin, Thomas, Kristina, Clifford lll, Alexandra, William and Great grandson Benjamin. He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years Carol Cynthia Mays. Also survived by his companion Valerie Newman. Clifford was born in NYC in 1927. He served in the Marine Corp during the Second World War and then made his career in the printing industry. He also served for many years on the board of directors of Quick & Reilly, Inc. Clifford was the past president of Strathmore Vanderbilt Country Club and a member of North Hempstead Country Club and Boca Resort & Club where he enjoyed his beloved tennis and golf games. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The United States Marine Corp. Scholarship Fund.
