Teresa (Lanning) O’Connor-Breen of Manhasset and Port Washington

December 15, 1933 - July 17, 2023

Teresa Breen was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 15, 1933, and grew up in Astoria. She is predeceased by her parents, Rose, and John Lanning, her first husband Francis (Frank) P. O’Connor and her second husband Walter E. Breen. She graduated from Bryant High School and married Frank in 1954. Before starting a family in 1956, Teresa was a secretary and part-time model. Both of her children were born in Jackson Heights, but the family moved to Port Washington in 1966 where they stayed until 1988. Once her children were raised, Teresa went back to work as an Executive Assistant, working in legal and publishing companies.

In 1988 she married Walter Breen and moved to Manhasset, and later to Ridge, NY. Theresa loved to travel and enjoyed her time as a volunteer at St. Francis Hospital.

Teresa passed away on July 17th after a brief illness. She is survived by her beloved children Laurie Broderick (Brian) and Richard (Tara), treasured grandchildren Conor and Haley Broderick, and Kevin, Sean, and Erin O’Connor. She is also survived by her brothers James, Robert, and Paul Lanning, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She will be forever in our hearts.
