Obituary of Lori Larocca

On Monday, June 19, 2023, Lori Larocca, loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many, passed away from a courageous battle with cancer at age 58. Lori was born in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn to Eileen and Ronald Larocca and moved to Manhasset, NY in 1976. She attended St. Mary’s High School in Manhasset and then attended Long Island University-CW Post College. Lori spent her career working in the insurance industry, with the last 30+ years with Guy Carpenter in NYC.

Lori was the consummate caregiver, always nurturing and caring for her family. She was a fantastic cook, she thrived on tabloid news, and was a lover of dogs (especially Sailor and Codi). She cherished her nieces and nephews, and she was vigilant in caring for her sister Karen.

Lori was preceded in death by her father, Ron. She is survived by her mother Eileen, her siblings, Stephen (Susan), Susan (Dave), Karen and Robert (Joy), and her nieces and nephews, Jeffrey (Cristina), Jaclyn, Alexandra, Kayla and Michael. A wake will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Fairchild & Sons on Northern Blvd. in Manhasset between 3pm – 8pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 at St. Mary’s RC Church on Northern Blvd. in Manhasset at 10:15am. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc. (FREE), an organization that Lori was passionate about, providing residence for her sister Karen and so many others with disabilities.
