Obituary of Angelo G. Iannacci

Angelo Iannacci, of Manhasset, passed away peacefully on June 11 with his family by his side. He was 92 years old born in Montebello di Bertona, province of Pescara, in the Abruzzo region of Italy. Angelo was the beloved and oldest child of the late Zopito Iannacci and his wife Maria, brother to Joseph, Mary Cetra and Grace Greco-Melis. Angelo was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Angelo will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Lisa and her husband Anthony Manasia, Angela and her husband Jim Baydar and Linda her husband Rob Robin. He will also be cherished forever by his six grandchildren, Zachary, Alexander, Andrew, Juliana, William, and Thomas.

In 1953, he married Fernanda, together they raised three devoted daughters, Lisa, Angela and Linda. A beacon of light and pillar of strength for many, Angelo was guided by his faith and his love for his family. He joyously celebrated with his large extended family including in-laws, nieces, nephews, and family friends who would come together regularly to enjoy his regular festive Sunday dinners and holidays.

Angelo immigrated to the United States as a teenager, determined to become a successful businessman, he established A&J Brick Mason Contractors based in Ozone Park, Queens. He maintained the virtues of integrity and honesty throughout his professional and personal life. Angelo was proud to uphold the honor of his Italian heritage. His legacy is marked by self-determination and a passionate value for independence and hard work, which he firmly instilled in his three daughters. He understood the importance of an education in order to become successful in any endeavor. To honor Angelo, a scholarship fund has been established.
