Obituary of Brendan Moody

Brendan Moody of Port Washington , New York passed away on March 22, 2023. Cherished son of Douglas and Irene Moody, beloved brother of Tara Nichol, Shauna Fountain and Bridget Moody, loved uncle of Mason, Dexter, Jameson Nichol. Brendan graduated from St. Peter’s school in Port Washington, and Xavier High school in New York City. Brendan had an extraordinary 10 year career in the Navy including earning 3 Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medals, the Sailor of the Quarter – 2nd Quarter 2020, and the Sailor of the Year award for 2020. Words can not express how he will be missed by his family, friends and all those who knew him.

A wake will be held on Monday, April 10 4-8 pm .The funeral mass will be held at St. Peter’s Alcantara in Port Washington at 9:30am on Tuesday, April 11. Brendan will be laid to rest at Calverton National Cemetery with military honors.  Donations may be made to The USO In loving Memory of Brendan,
