Please share a memory of Nikoletta to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On Monday, February 8th, 2021, the Argyropoulos family lost their matriarch, Nikoletta Argyropoulos at the age of 83 in New York where she lived for the past 55 years. Nikoletta Argyropoulos, daughter of Nicholas and Paulixeni Sousouris was born in Sparta, Greece on August 1, 1937. She is one of six siblings, Panagiotis, Hariklia, Anestis, Georgia, and is survived by her sister, Marigoula Polimenakou. Nikoletta was recently predeceased by her husband, Andreas. Affectionately known as “Leta,” she is survived by her son, Philip, her daughter, Barbara, her daughter in law, Diane, her son in law, Liam, as well as her greatest pride and joy, her grandchildren, Nicolette, Evette, Stephanie, Nikoletta, and Andreas. A committed and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, “Yiayia,” she loved and couldn’t imagine life without her husband Andreas. They did everything together. They cooked, they dreamed, they built together always. They lived an incredible life filled with all they could have ever imagined. Leta was surrounded by her loving family until the end for whom she was so overwhelmed with pride. Together, she and Andreas accomplished so much from the time they met in Athens to when they left for the United States in 1965 where they truly lived the American dream. Leta and Andreas spent their retirement dividing their time between living in New York and at their residences in Greece. Funeral services will take place at 10 am on Thursday, February 11 at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Resurrection in Brookville, New York and burial will follow at Nassau Knolls Cemetery in Port Washington, New York.
