Dr. G.H.Zarghami, commonly known to his friends as Shah, passed away peacefully on the morning of April 5th at his home in Port Washington, New York. He was 88. Born in Shiraz, Iran, Shah attended The London School of Economics and medical school at the University of Glasgow where he met Catherine, his beloved wife of 62 years. She was studying to be a midwife while he was a medical student. He did his residency in Falkirk, Scotland. After marriage, they settled in Boston where he worked in Obstetrics at Massachusetts General Hospital. They eventually settled in New York where he practiced at the Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn. Known for his sunny personality and a mischievous twinkle in his eye, he always kept his sense of humor. He was a good friend to many, a caring husband and a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by four children and ten grandchildren.
