Dearest Dad,
I thank you for your forever lasting love. And it is most comforting to know what you said of us, three siblings--that you "have been very happy and proud in having wonderful children like you three, in easy and clear evaluation with A+++". It is with your and Mom's love and pedagogy that Linus, Aaron, and I are who we are today.
I also thank you on behalf of all of your students, particularly the ones for whom you (with Mom's help) found any which way not to give a failing grade. And I also thank you for writing the book report for me when I was sick, so I would not fail my class.
And I also thank you for all of the good times that Roger and I had with you (and for not beating Roger too badly in billiards).
All of the reasons to thank you could go on and on. Simply put: you are the Very Best Dad, A++++++++
Alas, as you said, "Although we hope to live forever, it is not the hope we can realize being human beings."
