Of Boca Raton, Fl. and Westhampton Beach, N.Y., passed away peacefully on March 3, 2018 with his children by his side. He was 86 years old. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Barbara Ann (Kelley).
He is survived by his children, Bill and Mary Jane, and their spouses, Liz Welsh and Paul Whalen. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kelley, Hope, Liam, Harrison, Jennie Catherine, Claire and Aiden.
Born on July 6, 1931 in Brooklyn NY to William and Catherine (McCormick), he was a graduate of Brooklyn College and earned his MBA from New York University. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he married Kelley on November 26, 1955. Always driven towards success, he had a long and accomplished career with Lehman Brothers. He retired as a Board Member and Managing Director in 1984.
After raising their family in Manhasset, N.Y., Bill and Kelley moved to Boca Raton. They enjoyed a full life that included travel with family and friends, charitable causes, and long summers on the ocean in Westhampton Beach.
Loved by his family and friends as well as the many colleagues whose careers he impacted, he will be greatly missed.
Following a private service, Bill will be buried with Kelley at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn alongside his parents. A celebration of Bill’s life will be held in Westhampton Beach later this year.
