Obituary of Josephine Robino

Josephine was a paradigm of old school values coupled with modern day practicality that was derived from her love of family. They were the center of her life. Proud to be born an American citizen, her values were deeply rooted in her Sicilian upbringing. She was raised on a farm in Salemi and in 1947 left her father, brothers and sisters to return to the United States and start her new life. Throughout her years, she displayed amazing courage and passion for life and family. In 1958 she lost her husband, Cristoforo. She devoted her life to their four children, providing for them through handwork and savvy investing. She was a very practical and independent women with a determined perspective on life and amazing sense of style. She had a captivating presence and a wonderful way of telling a story, coupled with her great humor and wit. She was the life of the party. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband Cristoforo and her son Salvatore. She is survived by daughters Cristina Robino and Rose Levinson (husband David), son Christopher Robino, (wife Julie), and her seven grandchildren, Lauren, Jessica, Christopher, Paul, Jennifer, Daniel and Robert.
