Obituary of Herbert Ingber

Herbert ("Herb") S. Ingber passed away on April 9, 2016. He was born on November 22, 1921 and was 94 years old. He spent his youth in Monticello, NY, before joining the Air Force during WWII, where he served as a 2nd Lieutenant. After the war, he moved to Queens, before finally settling on Long Island, first in Roslyn and ultimately in Manhasset, his final residence. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Bernice Rosen Ingber, and was the father of Diane Ingber Stromfeld (Ron Stromfeld) and Charles "Chuck" Ingber (Jeanne Bergeron Ingber). Herb also leaves behind 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Herb was a self-made businessman, real estate broker and developer. He was gregarious, outgoing and respected by all who knew and loved him. Herb will be sorely missed. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 on Monday, April 11th at Fairchild Sons Funeral Chapel, 1570 Northern Blvd., Manhasset, NY 11030.
