Obituary of Lillian Shkuda

Lillian Shkuda at 94 years old, passed away Tuesday April 21 of natural causes at St Francis Hospital. Lillian was born and grew up in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. She and her husband Peter moved their family from Rego Park, Queens to Manhasset in 1955. As an original resident on Bartlett Drive in Munsey Park Lillian remained in the same house for over 60 years. Lillian was an avid homemaker who enjoyed decorating her home and garden. Her family fondly called her "Mrs. Clean". In her early Manhasset years it was not uncommon to see her march down Plandome Road at the Memorial Day parade in her Brownie scout leader uniform or manning a SCA school fair booth. In later years she took joy in babysitting her two grand children and felt blessed that she got to see both graduate college. Lillian is survived by her daughter Kathy and son, Philip and his wife Terri, and their two children, Kelsey and Peter. She is also survived by her sister Sophie Her family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St Francis Hospital , Development, 100 Pt Washington Blvd, Roslyn NY 11576.
