Obituary of Beulah C. Blaney

Please share a memory of Beulah to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
BLANEY - Beulah Catherine ("Kay") (nee Reynolds) of Water Mill, New York, died peacefully on February 20, 2015. She was 84. Kay is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Bernie, children and spouses Jim and Kathleen Massey-Blaney; Cathy and Ken Elsasser; Lisa and Jim Baker; and Karen and Rob Holm. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Shannon (and husband Nazar), Brendan, Jessica, Isabelle, Abigail, Jack, Carly, Dylan, Margaret, Eric, Eleanor and Bernadette; and her beloved niece Janice Dixon (and her husband Butch and daughters Beth and Angela and her husband Anthony). Kay was a loving wife and mother to all. She was born and raised in Kentucky and lived in Manhasset, Boca Raton, and finally in Water Mill. Kay traveled the globe with her husband and family. Professionally, Kay had an exciting career at various airlines which ultimately led to her supervising the New York call center of the legendary TWA in the late 1950s. Always the consummate home maker, Kay still found time to be the president of the Flower Hill Women's Club, helping to organize many charitable events; earned a New York State Real Estate broker's license; volunteered at St. Mary's Church in Manhasset; and delivered Meals-on-Wheels. Kay even dabbled in politics with a spirited (but unsuccessful) write-in campaign to become the Mayor of Flower Hill, New York. Visitation for Kay will be held on Wednesday, February 25th from 3 pm to 5 pm and again from 7 pm to 9 pm at Fairchild Sons Funeral Home, 1570 Northern Boulevard, Manhasset, New York 11030. The Roman Catholic Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 26th at 11:30 am at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 1300 Northern Boulevard, Manhasset, New York. Burial will follow at Nassau Knolls Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kay's name are welcome to the charity of your choice.
