Obituary of Frances Lauda

LAUDA – Frances “Frani” Shaver, passed away peacefully on October 22 at the age of 86. Born in Chicago, she was a long time resident of Port Washington. Widow of Francis C. Lauda, mother of Betsy (Scott) Silverstein, Susan Lauda and Cindy Lauda. Grandmother of Emily, Matthew and Aaron Silverstein. Former Food Editor of Seventeen Magazine, publicist at Niki Singer, Inc. and prolific writer. After retirement, she devoted herself to creative writing and poetry and was especially proud of her work that appeared in the New York Times.
