William N Bodouva, FAIA of Sands Point, NY left this earth on August 18, 2023 at the age of 90. William (Bill) was an internationally known transportation architect, a Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle and Friend to many. 
 
Bill was a true leader in the field of transportation terminal design. With 60 years of dedication to his craft, William left an indelible mark on the landscape of transportation architecture. As the founder and driving force behind William Nicholas Bodouva + Associates, he turned his vision into reality, focusing on transportation projects that brought light and beautiful designs to return aviation to the era of glamour and excitement.  His projects include airline terminals at John F. Kennedy International Airport and LaGuardia Airport as well many other major cities in the US and China. His rail transportation projects include NYC Times Square Subway Complex and Herald Square Subway Complex and was part of the design team of the Oculus Transportation Hub at the World Trade Center in NYC. His portfolio was a vast one. achieved over his expansive 6-decade long career. 
 
Bill was recognized by his peers and was elevated to Fellow in the American Institute of Architects, an honor that attests to his immense contributions. The coveted "Sydney Strauss Award" and the Lifetime Achievement Award from Pratt Institute stand as acknowledgments of his excellence in transportation design and his dedication to his alma mater.
 
Bill was a man of diverse interests and strong relationships. Avidly embracing leisure pursuits, he enjoyed the challenge and camaraderie of the golf course at Sands Point Golf Club. His skill and dedication to the game were matched only by the friendships he forged along the fairways of which there are many. He was a beloved friend and father figure to his friends at the Sands Point Golf Club and he cherished his time with each and every one of them. 
 
Bill’s  heart was most evident in his role as a family man. He was a devoted husband to beautiful and talented Gloria for 58 years before she succumbed to illness in 2015,  adoring father to Christine, Chase, William Jr and Nicholas, and fun grandfather to William III , Michael and Katherine. He treasured the moments spent with those closest to him. His guidance, love, and unwavering support served as pillars upon which his family and friends could always rely.
