Obituary of Maria Gannon

Maria Denise (D’Arco) Gannon, 68 of Port Washington, NY passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022. Maria is survived by her son Robert, daughter Brittany (Thomas) O’Shea; grandmother to Thomas and Caroline O’Shea, dog Charlie, and to the many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Gregory, father Salvatore, mother Connie and brother Sal.
Maria had one of the biggest hearts and generous spirits. To know her, was to love her. She was truly one of a kind. Grew up in Port Washington and raised her family there. Attended The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), won the Bergdorf Goodman award which she was extremely proud of and was one of the first female buyers at Macys. She spent most of her life raising and caring for her family. She enjoyed walking, St. Peter’s Church, Below Deck, a good sale and most of all being Italian. Her cooking was incredible and will be tough to replicate.
We will miss her so much, but it brings us peace that she will be reunited with her husband, parents, and brother.
God bless our mother and may she rest in peace. We love you, Mom.
