Obituary of Christina Saccone

Please share a memory of Christina to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Christina Louise Saccone, 35, of Port Washington, New York, passed away on Sunday evening, January 2, 2022.

Christina was a proud lifelong resident of Port Washington.  She was a graduate of Paul D. Schreiber Senior High School, class of 2004.  She attended Binghamton University and Baruch College, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications.

Christina was a proud and dedicated employee of the Long Island Railroad, where she worked as a conductor.

Christina had a genuinely pure heart and an unmatched zest for life.  She was one of the most compassionate humans.  An avid Mets, Jets, and women’s soccer fan, Christina’s love for all sports was unmatched.  She was a fierce competitor, but also a gentle soul.  She loved sunsets, fishing, stargazing, music, and celebrations.  Christina enjoyed the simple things in life: sledding on snow days, beach trips, late night walks, board games, and looking at the moon.  But most of all she loved her family and her friends.  A beautiful life taken too soon.

She was the beloved daughter of Jennifer Marino, cherished twin sister to Annemarie, beloved sister of Michael, Sandra, Anthony (Jill), and Nicole (Chris).  Beloved niece of John, Chris, Michael and Jimmy.  Preceded in death by her beloved sister Barbara, her father Andy Saccone, and her grandmother Joan Marino.

Also survived by many loved ones including cousins, nephews, nieces & friends.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 8 at 11:30 am at St. Peter of Alcantara in Port
Washington.

A wake will be held Friday evening from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Fairchild Sons Funeral Chapel in Manhasset.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the ASPCA, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a donation to her family through a GoFundMe
