Obituary of Benedict C. D'Oro

Please share a memory of Benedict to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Benedict “Benny” D’Oro born in New York City on September 8, 1957 was suddenly called home on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.

Benny was a kind, compassionate, funny, loving, forgiving and positive man who had a true faith in God and his fellow man.

He leaves broke-hearted his wife and love of his life, Kathy Malone-D’Oro who were together for 40 years; his beautiful and dearly loved daughters, Jessica D’Oro and Jillian D’Oro; son-in-law, Pablo Camacho; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Lisandrelli and niece, Grace Lisandrelli. Benny was blessed with many close friends who he considered his family.

Benny was an avid sports fanatic and lifelong fan of the NY Mets, NY Rangers and PA Steelers. In his younger years, Benny played goalie on the Yorkville Snakes hockey team alongside his friends from his childhood who remain friends to this day.

Benny was an active member of his community where he resided in Levittown, NY. He coached softball, soccer, and basketball for both his daughters and played a significant role in his youngest daughter’s Girl Scout Troop for 11 years. He was fondly referred to as “Benny Claus” and loved and respected by all.

Although, too short, Benny lived a full and loving life and will be desperately missed by his wife and daughters who truly idolized him!

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the family of Benny D’Oro.
