Alfred K. Sittner, of Manhasset , New York and Naples, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 12, 2021. Al was born in Brooklyn, on August 18, 1933. His parents Eleanora and Rudy met in Manhattan, having immigrated from Germany.

Al served in the United States Navy on The USS Coral Sea, USS Bennington and the USS Lake Champlain during the Korean War.  Early on in his service, Al met his sweetheart, Marilyn; who he  called “Lynn.”  After a lengthy courtship, Al and Marilyn married on July 19, 1958.  He pursued his education from Baruch College of Business where he obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.  Al’s career focused in the electrical engineering utility industry.

Anyone who encountered Al, knew him to be a man of great integrity, humility and perseverance who forever remained devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren.

Other than his devotion to his family and grandchildren, Al’s greatest joys in life were his faith, cooking for his family, painting, playing his harmonicas & accordions, collecting Norman Rockwell pictures, and traveling with Lynn & their friends.

Al will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Marilyn and his children, Laurie (John), Tara (Jim), William and Christina.  Al will be fondly remembered by his seven grandchildren, Jillian (Billy), Jamie, Ashley, Jimmy, Kaitlin, Jack, and Marielle.  Al will also be remembered by his wife Lynn’s sister Debbie (Chuck) and their two children Jeanne (Jason) children:Brian, Jessica, & Lindsay and Rob (Karen).
