Obituary of Marie A. DeVito

Marie DeVito ( Mary) was born onNov 05, 1917 in Brooklyn, NY to Francesco and Carmina Scannello. She was one of five siblings - three of whom predecesed her(Ross, Joseph and Louis). Her sister Helen resides in Baltimore. Marie met Vincent (Jimmy) DeVito and it was love at first sight. They married in 1941 and celebrated 50 happy years together. Family was very important to them. They had two daughters, Marion Endrizzi (John) and Camille Corbett (Tom). Their greatest joy was their grandchildren - Suzanne Endrizzi,Douglas Corbett and Julia Corbett. After Dad passed away, Mom moved into the Bristal Assisted Living in North Hills where she enjoyed an active social life, participating in various programs and meeting new friends. Marie was a loving, caring person to all that knew her. Her Catholic faith was very important to her and she was a daily communicant at Mass. Marie passed away peacefully in her sleep on Nov 12, 2020. She will be missed not only by family but by those whose lives she touched. Due to the pandemic, all funeral services will be private.
