Obituary of Ann Gotsis

Please share a memory of Ann to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ann Gotsis, (nee Theoharous) of Old Westbury, New York passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 23rd, 2020 at the age of 90 surrounded by her loving family. Ann is predeceased by her husband Dr. Constantine Gotsis and her sister Malamaty Theoharous. She is survived by her daughter Joanne Gotsis, her son Dr. William Gotsis and his wife Dr. Nancy Linneman, and her grandchildren Alexander and Kristen Gotsis. Ann was born in New York City and grew up in Astoria, Queens. She worked in business before getting married in 1959 and dedicating her life to lovingly raising her children. Ann’s pride and joy were her wonderful grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, reading, crossword puzzles, cooking, and most of all spending time with her family. To the very end, she never lost her keen wit and sharp mind. Even when she was feeling poorly as a result of her long illness, she would never complain. She was always smiling and welcoming all into her home. She will be missed dearly by all whom she loved near and far, and who loved her fiercely. Visitation will be held on Friday August 28th from 4-8 PM. Prayers will be offered by Father John Lardas of The Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church in Port Washington at 5 pm during the visitation. The Funeral Service will be held at Archangel Michael Church on Saturday, August 29th and 11 am. Interment to follow at St. Michaels Cemetery in East Elmhurst, New York. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church in Port Washington or The American Heart Association.
