Obituary of Mary L. Segrete

Mary Segrete, of Manhasset, NY passed away on November 24, 2018. She was born on January 19, 1921 in Queens, NY. In 1938, Mary married the love of her life Lawrence Segrete and together raised two children- Dominick and Mary. After building a successful carpentry business in Queens, she and Lawrence moved to Manhasset in 1968, fulfilling a lifelong dream of living on the North Shore of Long Island.

Mary was a hard worker with a passion for real estate and for over 25 years owned Aug Millang Real Estate on Plandome Road, a business she operated with her daughter Mary Rohan until selling it to Laffey Real Estate in 2004. She was admired not only for her keen business sense, but also for her leadership and caring nature, by the many agents and clients she worked with during that time. She loved music, Atlantic City, cooking, and was always dressed to the nines. Mary was an energetic, resilient and beautiful spirit whose role as the matriarch and heart of her family will never be forgotten. She joins her husband Lawrence and her son Dominick in heaven. Mary is survived by her daughter Mary, 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
