Southard-Melville of Manhasset, NY. Died on February 23, 2012. A sports and labor attorney, he was a graduate of Colgate University and Fordham Law School and was an intellectual property lawyer before serving as Vice President and General Counsel of the New York Yankees from1982-1986. He also served as New York State Boxing Commissioner and Chairman 1996-2002; at the time of his death, he was CEO of Excalibur Sports Management. Beloved husband of Christina; devoted father of Tara, Eric (Katharine) and Julia; grandfather of Connor; brother of Valerie, Lorelei and Craig. Services at Fairchild Sons, Manhasset; Saturday 7-9; Sunday 3-5 and 7-9. Mass will be held on Monday 10 am at St. Mary’s RC Church, Manhasset NY.
