Obituary of Sisto DeNardis

Sisto DeNardis (85) of Manhasset, New York on June 1, 2017. Beloved husband of Josephine for 62 years. Loving father of Catherine Califano (Francis) and Peter (Janis). Proud grandfather of Andrew Califano, pre-deceased by grandson, Matthew Califano. Dear brother of Maria Cavese and brother-in-law of Antonio and Antonietta Ardovini and devoted uncle to 7 nieces and nephews. Sisto immigrated to the United States from Italy in 1949, served in the Korean War and became a United States citizen upon his return. He then went on to establish a successful family business which continues to thrive 60 years later. Sisto lived his life with love, honor and integrity and he will be sorely missed, not only by the aforementioned, but also by his extended family and countless friends and business associates. Visitation will be Sunday, June 4, from 7:00-9:00 PM and Monday, June 5, from 3:00-5:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM. Funeral mass is Tuesday, June 6, at 11:30 AM, St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Manhasset. Interment at Nassau Knolls Cemetery, Port Washington, New York. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital (www.stjude.org/donate) or Passionist Community of Haiti, 111 S Ridge Street #302, Rye Brook, NY 10573.
